Crimson reflections echo
off morning gray clouds reminding us
of the reason for Christmas.

Red, green and gold are the colors of Christmas,
but it is the color of His blood that our souls echo
and the cloud gray sky reflects back to us.

Winter clouds come to remind us
the reason we chant carols at Christmas:
love’s dawn gives the clouds their scarlet echo.
