I'm Sorry

A poem to a friend who I hurt.

How can I say it,
To make you believe?
How can I ask you,
To ever forgive me?

Words just aren’t enough,
To express the way I feel.
Nothing that I say,
Could ever make you heal.

My heart is breaking,
To think that I hurt you,
And nothing hurts worse,
Than knowing that we’re through.

I’ll take all the blame.
I know it’s all my fault.
If only I’d know,
I never would have fought.
