We are all one
These are the words that she said
We are nothing when not together
We are the ones who cannot leave
We are the ones who cannot see
Time and emotions have blinded us
Twisted and turned the fathom of our core
We are the forgotten ones
The ones who you pass on the street and in the store
The ones who sit alone on a long bus ride
The ones in whose eyes you see the blankness of their bare despair
The ones who have tried and failed to take lives
The ones who tried and tried again
These are the people that can truly show you
The reason for their insanity
Is pure exposure
Exposure to truth
Exposure to what we now know as life
These are the forgotten words of the ones who are truly forgotten
These are the words of the youth
