Very special poem... wrote for a friend

I sit here tonight
with tears on my face
I wish I could help you
leave that hurtful place

To deal with pain
on this special day
Its wrong on so many levels
and so fucking gay

I'm sorry you have to deal
I'm sorry you can't escape
I really wish this would all go away

My heart aches for you
and all that you feel
I wish this was a dream
Not lucid, not real

I hope things get better
and the pain begins to stop
I hope you realize,
you're something I cannot drop

I wait for the day
for you to smile without pain
You may think I'm biased
but I've got nothing to gain

You're heart is what matters
not where it lies
I just want you happy
and able to survive.
