Can I...Smile?

Can I let myself cry
If it's for myself
To feel the tears
Or put them on a shelf?

Can I ask for much more
Is it too selfish
To pray or hope
For a dream or a wish?

Can I let pain linger
If just a short while
To feel in whole
The true worth of a smile?
