Reflections of a time untold
The future of my decision
My heart bleeds now tenfold
Is this what I had envisioned?

A reproduction of shadows & light
Dance naked above the painted sky
An interpretation of darkness & night
I spread my wings, anxious to fly

Failing within to grasp the air
I stumble and hesitate, then fall.
A price to pay, but it's not fair
Cursing myself to remember at all

The time He brought me to a luminous glow
Once blissful and intoxicated with life
My mistake then, is what I owe
Forever now, living in strife.
