Thy Will Not Mine!

I lost my way for a little while....

I lost my way for a little while,
A frown took over from my smile,
Heart-sore I let life batter me down;
Scared by pain and fear
I thought my end was near,
My King for a moment lost His golden crown.

I turned so quickly from the good,
I didn't fight as I knew I should,
I picked up doubt, deadly as a loaded gun;
I stumbled in the dark
Until I found a spark
To light again my world, let in the sun.

Now cloaks of despair I have cast aside,
I'll face the unknown, no longer hide,
Pick up broken pieces every single one;
My life is forever changed,
Priorities I must rearrange,
Accept not my will but Thy will be done.
