Innocence of a child

Learning a new language is tough...but looking into the eyes of a child is amazing.

Squirming behind the school desk
big, brown eys overflow with anticipation
as her long, black hair gently brushes
her sun-kissed skin. Innocence radiates
throughout her entire body.
She speaks delicately and a beautiful
Spanish accent rings through the air.
She is one of two *ESL students at
Fairborn Intermediate
who is crying out to be educated
and not be the child that gets left behind.
