Two Different Paths

A love lost for one wanted change and the other couldn't make the sacrifice.

We were one
for awhile
looking at you
used to make me smile
now I can see
something has changed
inside of me
I still love you and always will
but, I can no longer stay
we have reached a point
where the road divides
you take the path less traveled
where I like the trodden beat
you are fulfilling life’s hidden dreams
I am falling into the trap of conformity
I wish I could see life from where you stand
and explore the world’s riches
but being comfortable is who I am
and change, I can’t afford.
