And…

It was a day
When I saw no chance
When I had no feeling
Of being happy

But then you came
Into my life
You opened up your arms
My heart was shining again

And I spread my wings
And flew up high
So I could feel your arms
Around my body

And I opened my eyes
Gazing upon
The graceful sight of you

And I was free again
To do the things
I wanted to
So I could be
So I could be me

Still I felt lonely
But that was only
Because I was used to being left coldly
But now that you have shown me
The way

Still to this day
I think about your eyes
The way they pierced mine
The way I felt
By you

And I spread my wings
And flew up high
So I could feel your arms
Around my body

And I opened my eyes
Gazing upon
The graceful sight of you

And I was free again
To do the things
I wanted to
So I could be
So I could be me
