a poem about autumn's lack of mercy |
The Violent Autumn 1. The wind whacks the trees viciously. 2. Pieces of pinecones scatter sporadically 3. On the slippery slick pavement. 4. The leaves begin their descent. 5. Great golden arches of autumn acorns, 6. That in the spanking Spring were born, 7. Bow beneath the pale blue sky. 8. Rambunctious raindrops race like tears I cry. 9. Squirrels swinging, saving, storing 10. Reaching, running, rearing, roaring 11. For the shivery season speeding 12. Racing against time receding. 13. Fall is fading before my eyes 14. To the winter, it gives rise. |
