A poem about one of the strongest emotions we have as human beings. |
| Hate I don’t know who set the fire But now it’s a blaze, I guess no one assumed The hell that it would raise, It spreads from man to man Consuming body and then the soul But only after it was sure That it had somewhere to grow We tried putting it out But the heat was more than most could bear We tried to suffocate and smother it, But, the flame was still there It spread like a disease Infecting men and then women But it seemed to take great delight, when breeding in children A few thought they could extinguish The flames of others, burning within, But soon found themselves consumed, By the flames of revenge. |
