Faith for My Grandchildren

On this child; this blessing bestow
Grant him faith, Lord, that these may grow.

A peaceful nature, knowing all is one,
A loving spirit from Jesus, Your Son,
A hopeful heart to see Your Light,
Strength and courage to do what's right.
Accepting Your Word, he'll know his worth,
It binds him to You from the day of his birth.
Great understanding will fill his days
With joy and happiness for Your Mighty Ways.
Faith, like a trumpet, calls Your angels near
To protect this child and keep him from fear.

So on this child this blessing bestow,
Grant him faith, the rest will follow
