What Our Love Means To Me

A poem to my lover, to resolve one of those niggly fights.

I wish you could see how much you mean to me,
'Cause sometimes I feel we are lost in monotony.
Life is hard but we're struggling through,
And I know we'll succeed - 'Cause I'm with you.
I'm with you forever - all the way through,
Let's do this together - because I love you.

You say I'm beautiful and I believe you,
I tell you you're gorgeous, and I mean it too.
You tell me I'm your life, and I know it - I live it.
Without you I'm nothing,not even a bit.
My life is yours, take it and run,
'Cause a feeling like this comes only once.

You put up with my vices, and I with yours,
The thing is, darling, I don't see them as flaws.
I love you like crazy, and those little things,
are exactly what I'd miss if you grew wings,
And like the angel you are, you flew away from me.

I hope you can now see, what our love means to me,
As this is all what my heart says to me,
'Cause as I sit here alone, sad and blue,
And all I can think about is... You.
