Dreams


The sun woke me
seductive rays
peeked through the blinds
and I
responding to its advances
stretched,yawned
stroked my cat
curled upon the bed
In one sweep
I drew back the blinds
my face in the sun
the cat sprang up
only to jump under the bed
I think I laughed
as I slid open the window
that's when it happened
my dreams got away
they floated out the window
past the patio table
over the barbeque
thru the rail
and there I stood
naked
stripped of my dreams
so, be careful of your dreams
hold on tight
I lost mine on a bright
sunny day
