A poem about my best friend - the cat who adopted me! |
| Willow, cat of blue grey hue, How I'd love to be like you! Full of life, no troubles dare Ruffle your compacted fur. You fill my life with lithesome grace - Your presence brightens up the place. You're my Wills, my son, my lad - The little boy I never had. Yet, my love is unrequited; The loss of me won't leave you blighted. You'd just move on, for you're a cat To you it wouldn't matter that I'm not around to fill your bowl. You'd just find some other soul To be gentle, to be kind - Love doesn't even cross your mind. For this much I know is true - Willow, you belong to you. |
