My favorite ice cream dish.

Banana Split


Fundamental portions of reality:
a banana cut in half
placed
in a crystal dish
and hidden beneath
scoops of chocolate,
strawberry
and vanilla ice cream,
is covered
by crushed pineapple,
fresh strawberries,
chocolate syrup
and nut chips,
with whipped cream
and a maraschino cherry
on top.

Spoon by spoon
essential portions of reality
are consumed.
