River Water

just some scribbled thoughts

River Water
flowing Southward
swiftly going past
Going away from here
heading towards the sea
taking along with it
all that it grabs
everything that falls in
but it won't take me
I won't let it
Standing on the bridge
Its waves lapping
against the supports
trying to reach me
but they can't get up here
the bridge is safe
So I stay here watching
the river water
