Mainstream vs. non-mainstream

Poll Question:
After receiving an e-mail forward riddled with misinformation, I started thinking about the various media options available. They can be divided into mainstream (CNN, MSNBC, Associated Press, etc.) and non-mainstream (Z Magazine, The American Prospect, Utne, etc.). I was curious as to the media preferences fellow site members have. Which type(s) do you follow and to what degree?
