MEETING BEVY'S PARENTS

A young man meets girl friends parents for the first time and embarrasses himself.

On my second date with Beverly, we spruced up and went to meet her parents. They were elderly and very congenial. Hoping to make a good impression, I rehearsed how I was going to conduct myself. During dinner, they suddenly brought up the subject of religion. Her mother proudly asserted, "We embrace LDS (Latter Day Saints)."
