Losing yourself...I guess

Everyone thinks I’m crazy.
They can’t help but stare.
But guess once your eyes go hazy,
They don’t think you’re there.

They all wonder what happened.
I can see it in their eyes.
They wonder what fantasy I got trapped in,
how I believed in all those lies.

Guess I just fell in love with my dreams.
Hoping that one day, they would come true.
But once I relieved the fake themes,
the truth, I could no longer prove.

I lost all hope for my mind.
Couldn’t believe what I thought anymore.
To everyone else, it was just a sign,
for them to walk out the door.

That’s when my eyes went hazy,
and everyone began to stare.
I guess it made me go crazy,
When, to them, I was never there.
