A poem about the basic facts of life. |
| Adventure Up the Stairs My paper plane was almost done I couldn't wait to show But as I sat there folding Suddenly I had to go I should have seen it coming For I'd had a lot to drink And Dad had asked me twice but Somehow I didn't think Well the way that I was sitting Could have given me a clue And the dance I'd started doing Had more to it than I knew I didn't want to leave my plane Unguarded and alone But I had to go so badly That I left it on its own The steps somehow looked longer Than I thought they used to be And the more steps I climbed, The more I had to pee Halfway up my cat laid down She wouldn't move out of the way So I had to step right over her And hope my pee would stay And it did! I raced up four steps I could see the bathroom door But I had to sit and take a breath And then I took one more At the top my brother came Charging from his room I had to hop back down a step To avoid a big KABOOM! My breather had energized me So I leapt the rest of the climb I didn't think I'd make it but..... I made it just in time! (And my paper plane was fine) |
