Worthy Writing Contests - September 2005


In an effort to share contests for writers that benefit writers, you will find a following link to Poets & Writer’s Magazine, September 2005, lists a number of contests.

Writers who have the confidence with their work to venture outside their usual comfort zone may want to check out some of the contests. Within the next month, 50 deadlines for various grants will come due. Find a contest or two, and set yourself a deadline. These contests award at least $1,000 or a literary award of prestige.

Vanity poetry calls too many to publication in non-distributed anthologies, but entry in these contests will add to the credibility of a writer, and prove a positive stair step on the way to writing success.
