A simple poem just to get the juices flowing. |
| Through a land of crystal streams A starry night above me gleams The myriad of celestial lights Quenches like water the world's fights Running through the uncut grasses The darkened night slowly passes Over hills with unbridled fury Animals of the day will scury The bright sky moon will sink away Replaced by the sun to light the day Gnarled trees will rise and greet Yet they are captives of the ground with their long twisted feet Smiling broadly as they do With many waving hands they live the day through Keeping protection of the past Their deep running roots will always last Like the captain of a seaworthy crew It will stand and e'er be true |
