ABUSED

This is a poem about a girl that is being abused by her father.

ABUSED

A girl sits alone in the dark,
holding her breath, not moving.
The pain strikes her once,
then twice.
She cries.

Outside, her father is mad.
Mad like a pyscho he destroys things.
He hits her mother with a stick,
and give the woman another kick.
She shouts a word of dread.

Now her father is coming her way.
Trembling, she runs away.
Her fear is wobbling up.
She worries if her mother will ever wake up,
or if she’s dead.
She’s finally saved,
but numb.
