Okay, as a story, it was fine. A little "message over story" in presentation, but the characters were clear. Carrie as the more evangelical one did not waver, whereas the narrator seemed to have some moments of doubt. I think the narrator having greater doubts before the ending would have upped the tension before the final denouement with a fellow believer.

Technically, there were a couple of times where direct speech punctuation needs some work, but otherwise it was fine.

So, not a story for me, but fine. Good luck going forward.
