Happy Writing.Com Anniversary month! I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting and encouraging. It is meant to be honest and respectful, and in accordance with Writing.Com guidelines.
I found your "English Sonnet: 'Dog Days Come'" poem linked in the news feed. I was looking for something from a July anniversary person to review and am also experiencing sweltering heat, so could totally relate to it. Sometimes I picture winter scenes just to get a mental break from the heat.
I loved your "English Sonnet: 'Dog Days Come'" poem so much. It was relatable, the rhyming was interesting, and was well written in general.
I didn't really understand what you meant by this line: "restoring health to Body's shoulds and mights." But that didn't take away from my appreciation of your poem.
My favorite part was the last stanza. It made me smile, because it's so true. I guess we all have "the grass is greener" syndrome when it comes to weather extremes.
It's so hot here, I sometimes feel like I'm melting. I can't even imagine how much more challenging it is to live so much further south. How do people with no a/c by the equator even cope? I'm going to pray for everyone who is suffering from temperature extremes, natural disasters, or for any reason, right now, before moving further with this review.
I thought you did a great job with writing the English Sonnet form.
You also did a great job with coming up with unique phrases that I hadn't heard before.
I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "English Sonnet: 'Dog Days Come'" poem.
I appreciated that you included your own personal touches in the description, and always appreciate that you keep the Lord first in your writing and life.
IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
