Many place names have origins in indigenous languages. My hometown was one of them.

Just a quick note to say I spotted this in the newsfeed so I came to have a look. I actually managed to complete it (usually, there is one word that escapes me however hard I look).

I was disappointed that 'Fred' wasn't on the list. Fred is a perfectly acceptable name for almost anything - I had a house called Fred (some relatives came up with a fancy name for their house in a posh area and suggested that we should also name our house *Rolleyes*), I named my goldfish Fred, and my son narrowly escaped having Fred as his middle name, just for a laugh. It might have been a difficult word to find though - I find longer words easier.

Anyway, this wasn't just a distraction but it was also very informative, especially for a Brit who can name all the states at a push but otherwise knows very little about them. I enjoyed the word search!

A super power image
