Here the teller is welcoming his friend who remains hidden inside his heart. We know that God resides in our hearts as an eternal soul. But, due to our sinful works, sometimes we can not find him there.
The narrator wants to return to his sacred life. So, he is again starting to realise God's existence inside him. He requests God to give him company forever. Every human wants this. But, only a few feel this as they are sinless souls. If you want to realize his presence forever, you have to be sacred.
