This is indeed a good poem about the true fact of life. The main image is wonderful. We can’t ignore the facts of life. I appreciate the thoughts and the emotions portrayed in this poem.

The words are so true that keeps me reading your poem to the end. The free verse poem and it’s rhythm and flowed beautifully with your crafted words.

The last stanza are my favorite
“Twenty years later his father becomes bankrupted,
Now Sammy is a man of thirty and becomes jobless,
Emerald succeeds and possesses a company,
Now she is the rich and he is the poor.”
