Wise advice, and advice I also need to take to heart. My major fails are dialogue (I like to lecture, not talk) and using senses other than the visual and auditory, sometimes tactile. I tend to forget Olfactory and Gustatory, so I appreciate your input.

I also applaud the Merit Badge suggestion: wouldn't that be great? (and might be awarded rarely, although I hope that would not be so). Interesting piece! Especially since you wrote it while in recovery from shoulder surgery--oh my goodness!
