I think if therapists are going to the Internet to research clients' issues, the clients may be in a world of hurt. At minimum, they ought to be doing research in University databases and psychology/psychiatry journals, and for whatever disorders are included in the DSM, there also ought to be continuing education courses, either in seminars or even online (restricted to licensed practitioners of course). So I agree with you. I also think that inmates with psychological disorders ought not to be housed with inmates who don't (is that an oxymoron?) I don't know. However, I appreciate your post because it did educate me on these issues.
