Howdy, Rhychus, and happy belated 8th 'birthday' on here!
I'm not familiar with this style of poetry (thank you for the explanation!), but considering the subject, I thought it was good. I love the spooky flavor you brought to it, and writing it in the first person just adds to that. The reader can sense your trepidation as you feel trapped while hearing that 'plaintive howl', while at the same time you grieve for those who've become prey to this beast.
