         First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. *Smile* Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest.

First Thoughts
         Oh my goodness, this is so true! It's happened to me more than once that I was so sure of something and then... *Facepalm* I was wrong about it. And I bet many others will connect to this piece, too. You've hit the nail on the head, so to speak. This can pertain to decisions and/or people you have relationships with, admire, and thought you knew so well. We don't truly know anyone as much as we think, and sometimes even ourselves. In your title description, you said Some thoughts about what's been happening to the world for a while now. Something has changed in this world, don't you think? I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it's the human race. Hopefully we are not evolving into selfish, egotistical, narcissists. *Frown*

Punctuation/Grammar
         Looks good. I found no typos at all.

Suggestions
         Seriously, the only thing that distracted me just a wee bit (and this happens a lot, lol) is that you capitalize the first letter in every line. Free verse gives you the freedom to flow your words along without traditional rhythm and rhyme. Here is an example:

Because at times its light
Can blind you,
My suggestion...
Because at times its light
can blind you,
It's up to you though. *Wink*

                             But listen to what others have to bring,
I truly believe this and that's why this is my favorite line. *Bigsmile*
