Hi Dragon is hiding ![]() This review is a part of "a very Wodehouse challenge" ![]() ![]() Overall Impression: This is a fascinating real account, Dragon. The description of your grandfather fleeing a war as well as religious persecution gives an insight into the horrors he must have faced. I can understand why he kept those experiences inside for so long and how, when they surfaced, they would have felt overwhelming. It is a long and frightening journey that he, his father and the disciples faced. There were so many obstacles to overcome, so many dangers, and there was hunger and exhaustion. I like how your grandfather said that sometimes the rest was the best thing about stopping somewhere - I can completely understand that! They all showed great courage and it is touching that they helped others where they could. In extreme situations one's true spirit shows, I think. I also like the insights into Buddhism that this piece offers. That is very interesting as well. And your grandfather, his father and the disciples truly lived their faith. Overall, I think that this is a very strong piece, and I enjoyed the read. Suggestions: ![]() My Rating: As I mentioned above, this is a good read. Educational as well. I was glad that your family and the disciples arrived safely. I only had one suggestion, and that had nothing to do with the actual content of the item. Therefore, I will give it a rating of 5 out of 5. Thank you very much for sharing your work, and write on! ![]() Kit ![]() ![]() ![]()
