*Monkey* I like how you described dealing with your muse. The muse is that independent personality that seems to appear and disappear at will -- its will not ours. As writers, we've all had that cursed writer's block, and blame our muse for not showing up when we need them to.

*Monster2* However, when the muse does show up to this author's writing projects, he erases what has been written.

Loved this part:

"To my utter astonishment, a giant, hairy thumb appearing inside my monitor. It began to methodically erase what little I had managed to write by sliding across the screen sentence by sentence until it was blank once more." *Laugh*

Great ending -- “The game was afoot…” This muse is right on target with that line! *Smile*


Observation:

"was completely at an impasse as to how [to] go forward with my novel."
