Greetings, DM Writing!
I've entered this contest a few times and I know how difficult it can be to get a story in using only 300 words, but you did a good job here.
I like the idea of a lone janitor cleaning up a school at night (if it was night). That's a rather unique plot. And then to have said janitor come across red ink which turns out to be blood just makes it that more intriguing!
But it was the child's laughter that makes it really spooky!
Nice job, and good use of the prompt words!
One tiny niggle:
'...clean it before it dried(,) but with one-hundred and twenty pupils...'
