| The Writing Contest--630 Words I struggle with the prompt for a writing contest **Semi-Finals for May 2016 Blown Away!** |
| Gee. I’m not sure what to say about this piece. Different? No. Unique? Well, I have seen other pieces about writer’s block, but not quite in this style, so I guess it is kind of unique. Narcissistic? A little, because the writer is only writing about their own problems of not coming up with something to write. Wait! I got it! How about hilarious! They say that a writer should write to write, even if nobody else reads their words. And maybe that’s what you were doing here, but you took it to a new level. Writing down your thoughts is not only cathartic, but it can actually serve as a jumping board to write something, even if that something is nothing! But like I said, you took it a new level, especially when you googled that part and ‘checked’, ‘pre-checked’ etc. Truth be told, the 1st piece I ever had published was about ‘nothing’ ("Nothing" One niggle (I think): ‘Stupid(.) The Writer's Cramp contest’ (I’m pretty sure you want a comma there, right?) This piece just goes to show that even when can’t think of anything to write about, at least write down your thoughts, whether your 6 years old or not! Well done, Schnujo, and that last line says it all! By the way, I was smiling and laughing all the way through this, because every writer has had these thoughts in their head! Kee ponw ritin gon, have a great day, and once again, welcome to WdC!
