Hi, Steve. Nixie, here. Again. Overall Impression After browsing through your illustrated books, I was curios about what else you wrote. Your style is so deadpan, it's hilarious. Without adding on extraneous comments, the story had room to allow your brain free reign. What appears simplistic is anything but. A few thoughts Of course, the cover art is amazing, and I'm happy you included it at the top of the story as well. This is your own art? You had me laughing from the first sentences of dialogue. The more Central tried to prompt Biff, the more absurd they sounded. A secret agent forgetting the code words, and losing his code book, what a scatter brain. A scatter brain who became one of my favorite characters. Your phrasing and word choices matched your style and wit. When he meets Betty Easy, (ha-ha) and she asks communists? Biff's reply came across as natural for his character. And made me laugh, again. Lasting Impression Even the final show down was presented with no fuss. No need here to create a nasty scene. One image was all it took to show Biff, although quirky, wasn't a guy to mess with. He followed through on what he told Betsy. I thought he was bluffing. The tongue in cheek humor was exemplary. I don't know where your talent came from, and I'm happy I read Giselle's NL and found your portfolio. ![]() ![]()
