First off, sorry for the slight delay in completing my part of the package. I was feeling just slightly overenthusiastic a month or so ago and signed myself up for way more than I could timely manage—but, I’m gradually getting through the pile!

Words:
*Check3* I felt like you were sitting next to me and telling me the story. It read easily and naturally, with nice personal touches here and there.
*Exclaim* It kind of broke me out of the story-telling bubble when you became more literary (if that makes sense). “Current swept through my little body” seemed a little…dramatic? Contrived? It wasn’t a big thing.
*Exclaim* This passage also contained some issues in concreteness: you mention being “paralysed” but then “hastily” pulling away. This jumbled together in my head, even though you specified that one occurred after the other.

Plot:
*Check3* You're username is an odd one, so when I saw the description my curiosity was piqued.
*Check3* I enjoyed the happy memories of you on the farm, but
*Exclaim* I couldn’t help thinking, “get to the point.” None of it felt relevant, and I wondered how long the directionless meandering would continue.
*Exclaim* How you got your name boils down to “my uncle randomly called me ‘flee’.” It seemed random because (in addition to occurring before all the farm talk) we don’t know why he called you “fee” to begin with, or even what a “fleabag” is.

I can see that this was for a contest, and clearly it is a well-written approach (yay pretty ribbon!) but if you ever get the urge to revise, consider the above points.

Thanks for the insight,
Taliah
