| None of this review is personal. It is just my opinion, nothing more. If you find anything I suggested helpful, then I am pleased. There appear to be unresolved issues here that this person is focusing on in his? sleep. When we love someone but aren't sure how deeply they return that feeling, it might be a natural thing to try to solve those issues in our sleep. That's what dreams do, try to make sense and compartmentalize what we have difficulties with in our waking hours. It is a horrific dream for it leaves the narrator worried, frightened and uneasy. He sees this person whom he loves, but she isn't happy, and does not have the expression he feels comfortable with. One given to looking deeper might wonder if he knows that she is unhappy in the relationship, and wants out. Or maybe it's just an irrational fear which hopefully he doesn't carry into his waking hours. Such things often seem to become self-professing prophesies. There is definitely relief at the end, when he finds that the dream is just a nightmare and not reality. I guess the question would be, will he explore this dream and try to work n whatever it might be hinting at, or will he ignore it and just allow whatever is festering to continue? It is an interesting poem that whether intentionally or not, explores our insecurities and fears. hat's not to like about a poem like that? ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
