Type: Friendship Poem

Analysis: I guess that is the first thing someone wants to know, whether that friendship will remain the same over time. You've reassured the friend so that now you both can work on just being friends.

There are interesting contrasts in lines one and two which illustrate the wide range of the friendship. It has no boundaries, the friendship I mean.

That is what a real friendship (of any degree) should do: make each other better people. When a friend can see what is good about us, it elevates us and makes us stronger, and better.

It almost seem that this poem was written while the friendship was still new and evolving. The last lines suggest that.

I'm sure your friend will be happy when he/she reads this poem. It might even spur them to write one of their own! It is good to read a positive poem. All too often all I seem to find are poems about death, dying, wanted to die, or an abiding hatred for an ex-lover. This was a nice change of pace. So, thank you for writing it.
