Mike pauses, waiting for your expression to shift to disbelief or boredom, but you are actually interested in what your brother has to say,"..it was called 'Nos and Yeses' or something. Anyway, one day I went in and the little guy says, 'I know what you're looking for' and I said 'Oh yeah, what?' and he replied, 'Something to help you gain weight and muscle."
"Yeah?" you ask remembering the change Mike went through that one summer.
"Yeah, he sold me this little vial of powder and I started taking it and soon found myself eating bigger and lifting bigger and getting bigger," Mike says with a grin and flexes his thick arm," That stuff did wonders."
"Yeah, I remember how much you changed that summer," you say remembering how Mike went up at least one shirt size.
"So when you're staying at Uncle Phil's keep an eye open for that shop," Mike suggests and gives you a pat on the shoulder," I only wish I could find it again and get my hands on some more of that miracle powder."
You wonder if Mike will discover that Notz and Yeps is in the mall and you wonder if there's still one where your uncle lives. If Mike just bought some simple muscle and fat powder and it set him on the course for college football you wonder what kind of magical powder you could find in the mysterious shop.
"You better pack some loose stuff," Mike suggests looking at your suitcase," That reunion is going to be full of big meals and great food. I'm sure a twig like you could pack on a few pounds there."
"Thanks," you say rolling your eyes at Mike's encouraging yet demeaning words.
Mike leaves your room and you continue to pack and wonder about Notz and Yeps and if it's in other cities or not. If it's not in the same town Uncle Phil is in you'll have a couple of bucks to spend once you get back. You also worry that Mike will find the shop as well while you're gone and when you come back your brother who is nearly twice your weight will be even BIGGER.
You dismiss that thought and finish off your packing and wondering what kind of adventures you'll have on the road?
