Standing infront of him was a Sonic who began showing mutated traits, as his body seemed to be a patchwork of other people he didnt recognise. Part of him was pink and feral, a squirrel's tail began growing from his behind and green colouring began spreading in a rough manner. Those were the main symptoms, but Tails swore he spotted others.
"H-HEEEEY LITTLE BUDDY? I MIIIIGHT NEED HELP."

As Sonic stands panicking in his custom made cell, Tails begins to read the data coming off him.
"If you weren't in this current situation I'd say this is fantastic data....you appear to be in some sort of dimensional merge with multiple entities at once! Both fascinating and, uh, horrifying. Very much."
Suddenly, Tails data spiked, as Sonic began freaking out on the floor, his form mutating heavily.
"Sonic, what the heck is go-"
A flash of light emerges from his body and his cell was completely fogged. Tails in a curious urge opened it up and discovered what happened to Sonic's body, cradling his emergency "EVERYTHINGS GONE TO HELL" Panic Button with him.
