Elias’s lungs strained against the oppressive heat, each breath thick with the sour, earthy musk of Torvald’s armpit. His fingers, slick with sweat, clung to the coarse ropes of hair that surrounded him, anchoring him in the suffocating darkness. Through the haze of his predicament, his eyes caught a faint glimmer—a sliver of dim light slicing through the tangled thicket. It was a gap, a narrow crevice in the folds of the giant’s skin, barely wide enough for his lean frame to squeeze through. The sight of it sent a jolt through his weary body, a whisper of hope amidst the overwhelming enclosure.

He shifted cautiously, testing the give of the hair beneath his grip, his muscles trembling from the effort of his climb and the strain of his entrapment. The exit beckoned, promising release from the stifling weight of Torvald’s arm, which pressed against him like a living wall. But the path was treacherous—one misstep, one tug too forceful, and the giant’s flesh might shift, sealing the gap and crushing his chances. Elias’s heart thudded, torn between the instinct to claw his way toward freedom and the strange, primal pull of this raw, untamed frontier. The scent, though overpowering, had woven itself into his senses, a potent reminder of the giant’s sheer scale and power. He hesitated, his body poised, the choice between escape and surrender hanging in the balance as he stared at the fragile promise of the light.
