That there was a Wand that was massively discou...

As Melona glanced around, she eventually spotted the discount wands. While the wands here were generally made-to-order, occasionally there will be times when a wand is made that gets returned, or simply can't be paid for in the first place, that would be more trouble to disassemble than it's worth. In those cases the wands will go up for sale at a discount. Usually even with the discount they were more than Melona would be able to afford, but she still liked to check every now and again just in case. She dug through the bin of wands, checking their price tags, but as usual found nothing that she could pay for. That was, until she found a wand at the very bottom, one with an insane 99% discount!

The wand was a dark brown, with a few pink streaks wrapping around the base, with a basic leather handle and a cloudy grey gem in the hilt. She pulled it out and double checked the tag just to be sure, and apparently it was her lucky day. While it would cost all of her pocket money, she would finally have a proper wand! She turned it over in her hands, checking for any cracks or breaks that could have knocked the price down. She didn't see anything of the sort, however. While a part of her knew that she should still be cautious, she was simply too excited to have a proper wand, and rushed to the register to pay for it. She smiled to herself as she walked out of the store and rushed to her next class. It was doubtful that a new wand was all she needed to be able to finally do magic, but at the very least she wouldn't have to use her training wand anymore!

Little did Melona know that when she'd been digging through the bin of wands, an additional label had been knocked off of the wand. One that read:

WARNING! This wand is HIGHLY DEFECTIVE!!! Use only for parts, do NOT cast spells with this.

Unaware of this, Melona made her way to...
