Chapter #6From the Princess' View by: Feri After navigating through the incredibly annoying and monster-filled labyrinth, the Heretic Hunter’s group halted their exploration of Phantasma for a moment after stumbling upon one of the Doors.
“Another door, huh?” Kevin rubbed his neck, then turned to his group. “What do you guys think are the requirements for this one?”
“Let’s see...”
Ries Argent inspected the ethereal door as letters materialized out of thin air. The group began to read the texts that appeared with caution and curiosity. A certain pair in their group grew wide-eyed at what was required of them for the door to open.
Bring to me the boy with eyes of amber and the princess with an indomitable will. Only then the door will open.
“It looks like it’s talking about Joshua and Kloe!” Estelle piped up with a cheery smile.
“Indeed. They are the only ones who fit the description unless there’s another secret princess hiding in our group!” Olivier jested, earning a few chuckles and a small pout from Kloe.
“Yup, sounds about right.” The green-haired Dominion nodded, putting his hands on his hips as he turned to his two companions. “Well then, we’ll leave things to you two.”
Joshua scratched his cheek, unease slowly settling in his stomach. He wasn’t sure why, but he sensed something off behind this particular Star Door. It was strange since none of the other Star Doors gave off such a feeling of unease. The ex-Enforcer wondered what could be the reason why he was feeling this way.
It seemed like he wasn’t the only one feeling uneasy. Joshua turned to Kloe, or Klaudia, who held a hint of nervousness behind her confident mask. Their team looked at them expectantly, and Joshua couldn’t do much but nod his head as he stepped forward.
Klaudia soon followed suit as Estelle cheered them on.
“Good luck, you two!”
“I know we’re just relieving specific memories, but please do be careful,” Ries warned softly as they nodded.
Their companions saw them off as the Star Door opened, a flash of light blinding the two friends as everything went dark.
Darkness.
That’s what all Joshua could see. His body felt heavy and groggy. Did he fall asleep after passing through that door? Wait, wasn’t he just reliving a memory from his past with Kloe? Why was he still aware of the situation?
Light began to fill his vision. No, that wasn’t quite right. His vision started to focus on his surroundings, everything gradually becoming clearer as well as his senses returned to him.
The former assassin blinked as he saw Kloe in her princess outfit staring at him.
“Kloe?”
Joshua gasped. Was that his voice? And did Kloe’s lips just move the second he opened his mouth? Oh, crap. She was staring at him with wide eyes too!
His heart raced, uneasy. What was going on? His lips quivered, and so did Kloe’s. T-This can’t be...
His suspicion was confirmed when he raised a hand and Kloe mimicked his action. Joshua uncomfortably gulped and placed a hand in front of him, feeling the smooth surface of glass.
“It was a mirror all along...” Joshua breathed out and leaned back on his seat, watching as his reflection of Kloe copied his actions.
His cheeks flushed as he looked down at himself. After regaining some of his calm, he could clearly feel he wasn’t in his own body. The soft fabric of the dress that clung to his smooth skin made him feel awkward. The modest mounds pushing out of his chest were... strange to say the least. He could feel the sensation of a bra wrapped around them as his blush deepened.
The former man closed his eyes and frowned. He already started to expect that he had lost something valuable when he realized he became Kloe, but the lack of feeling between his legs was very, very disturbing.
Joshua took a good look around the room. The interior reminded him of the rooms in Grancel Castle. Well, considering Kloe was part of the royal family, he assumed he was in her personal quarters.
He got up from his seat and searched for one particular object. He sighed in relief upon finding what he was looking for.
The Septian Calendar.
Joshua checked the date today as his eyes widened in shock.
Today was the banquet of celebration after Joshua and the others dealt with the Liber Ark incident. Then that means…
“Is Kloe in my body right now...?” indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
