Bianca Deadringer

by: DJ Noah Author IconMail Icon
You waited patiently in your home for Bianca to arrive for you sent out a letter asking her to swing by your house. It struck you by surprised that, Bianca despite just becoming an adult seem to be willing to drop by your place at your request. Then again it makes it look like you enjoy your company when giving second opinion on work of metal that you happen to have in your possession.

’I hope she comes as instructed.’ You thought to yourself as you remembered, you specifically told her to come without telling anyone or let anyone know where she was going in the letter. However, that were vanish when you heard a knock at the door with that you smiled and rush to the door.

You smiled as you opened the door to see it really was Bianca. This girl despite being five years younger than you was 6 foot tall even if she just turned 20. Hair red as flames cut short and sometimes tide in a bun. It was always a wonder how she was able to keep her apron like that especially with a bust size that big. Other than that, she was wearing an ordinary blacksmith outfit.

“Ah Ms. Deadringer. Come in. Come in.” You said as she motioned her into the house. After she did, you closed the door, locked it and turned to address her. “Thank you for coming on such short noticed, I have come across an interesting fine and I am in need of your expertise for a second opinion.”

“Oh Anon. Don’t be so humble, we’ve known each other since we’ve been kids. So please call me Bianca like you used to. I did what you ask I finish up any project. Make sure anything in my shop was closed down. Finally, I haven’t told a soul where I was going.” She said which caused a chuckle to escape my lips as I rushed over to the table. “So what is this object you want me to see?”

“This.” I said as I unwrapped the lamp on the table. Bianca excited rush to the table on got on her knees to get a closer look at the lamp. I admired her figure as she did so.

“Hammering at gold…is this an oil lamp from the deserts south east from here?” She asked looking at me. I nodded a little and she went back to looking at it. “Wow.” she called as she reached out to pick it up. I immediately smack her hands away from it.

“Don’t touch it. Not yet.” I said, as if I was a stern older brother. She gave a cute pouty face.

“Why?” She asked. I smiled at this because it felt good flexing my knowledge a bit. I picked up a magnifying glass.

“It’s because I believe it to not be an ordinary oil lamp.” I said, as I hold up the magnifying glass to the side of the lamp, enlarging the sandskript ruins on the side. “See these sandskriptures here?”

“Yes if I were a betting women; these marking go back a thousand years from the Sul Kingdom. That’s when they first appear as it was that Kingdom’s official rain language. It fell out of favor five centuries ago when the kingdom collapse.” Observed Bianca.

”Yes but these sandskiptures here were use for magic and sorcery. Given how they are alined around this lamp and in this pattern. There is no mistake. This is a Genie’s lamp.” I finished.

“Really?” Bianca asked. I nodded my head but slapped her hand when she try to reach it again. “Hey what was that for? Don’t you want to see if this thing really does produce a genie?”

“It won’t.” I answered she appear confused so I moved the magnifying glass so that it was above the lamp. This prompt her to get on her feet to look at what I was pointing at.

“See how it is smooth here? No sign of markings or symbols of any kind?” I asked her. She looked closely before nodding. “Most records that I can find about genies plus their lamps would indicate that if their was engraving and symbols on the top part of the lamp; means it would have an occupant.”

“So it is useless or faulty?” Bianca asked in disappointment.

“Quite the contrary. Even without an occupant, this is no doubt that Genie’s lamp it’s just without an occupant it is now in a peculiar mode.” I answered before continuing. “In its current state it is now in original default mode where anyone so much as rub it with skin contact will be suck into the lamp and turn into the Genie. After that said symbols and engraving will appear on the top of the lamp.” This cause Bianca to look at the lamp with genuine curiosity.

”But how is it that this is freshly made or is it made with a dull material? Because again the Sul Kingdom fell five centuries ago.” She remarked.

“Astute observation Bianca; this lamp is indeed a dull color and not shiny at all. This leads me to conclude that one or two things happen. One is that the last master of the lamp set their Genie free.” I said, pausing for effect.

         “Or?” Bianca asked.

“Or the poor soul who became a genie went through a century reset.” I finished. This caused Bianca to look at me confused.

         “Century reset?” She asked.

“Yes as you know genies are suppose to grant any desire of their master as well as grant wishes; three to be precise. If a genie goes through a century without a master or granting any wishes; their bond is separate from the lamp, however they are reincarnated and reborn as a human baby.” I said grimly.

“Wow.” Bianca said as she look at the lamp at it for a long while. After that she look at you and asks you the oddest thing.
