This choice: It was a massive feast!! • Go Back...Chapter #6It was a massive feast!! by: Theday   "Smells great," Alec said sniffing the air and feeling hungrier by the minute.
"*Hopefully* it tastes great," Joey said and ducked into the first door with the beer Alec brought.
Alec took a few seconds to take in his surroundings but was drawn to the source of the delicious smells. He peered into the kitchen to see Joey putting the beer in the fridge and that there was a feast nearly ready to go!
"Holy shit," Alec said ducking a bit to get into the kitchen," How many people are you having over."
"Oh, ahh.. just you," Joey said looking over the food and back at Alec," You kept telling me what foods you liked and I couldn't decide on what to make... So I made most of them."
"I see," Alec said and looked over the nearly ready feast. There was roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravey, mixed veggies glistening with butter, garlic bread, stuffing, dinner rolls and more. Alec's gut let out a loud growl in anticipation. "Well it's a good thing I'm hungry then."
"Take a seat," Joey invited pointing out a small card table set up with a table cloth, two places to sit, a candle and a few glasses.
Alec agreed and lowered himself down on to the folding chair that had a view of the nearly ready spread and watched Joey as he tended to the final preparations.
"You spoil me," Alec said feeling his tummy growl again.
"No problem," Joey said and begun to plate," I never have anyone to cook for, so this is all my pleasure."
Joey brought over a plate for Alec with a good big piece of roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggies, a dinner roll and a big piece of garlic bread. As soon as the plate was down Joey whizzed across the small kitchen and grabbed a few bottle from the fridge and brought back some beer for one glass, water for another and some white wine for the other.
"Bon appetit," Joey wished with a smile.
"Thanks," Alec said and took a swig of the beer followed by a big forkful of mashed potatoes. The spuds had an amazing flavour to them, garlic, pepper, a touch of salt and were creamy and smooth.
Alec was in heaven with every bite. He barely noticed Joey sit down with his own modest plate. Alec quickly devoured his plate of food and Joey sprung up to refill it for him.
