Miscalculation

Even you didn't knew how, but the ship went right into her wind pipe (Maybe you miscalculated or the ship may had a design defect).

Then the muscles of her throat started to move as she coughed, a strong exhalation brought you back at her tounge and another air stream got you out of her mouth.

The ship controls are damaged because of the abrupt movement, and at your actual speed you were going to crash somewhere
